Introduction to shrine dedicated to the game Endoparasitic.
I have been invested in Endoparasitic for over a year. I first watched Kubzscouts' playthrough on Youtube, and then immediately looked it up on Tumblr. From there, I was part of a small fandom (very small), and had some fun. Did you know the writer of the whole game was also on Tumblr? And the developer? Thank God they've (hopefully) never seen my stuff. Hopefully. (Update: I've been perceived).
The prototype for the game Endoparasitic was created as a jam for the 48th Ludum Dare game jam. It was developed by Miziziziz, who also developed a game named Wrought Flesh - previously called Thouest Thee - taking place in the same universe as Endoparasitic. The main thread that connects both of the games is the existence of the "Nautilus", which you can read about further in this post that I made.
I have coined this extended universe as the Mizverse (Or Mizizizizverse), though only Endoparasitic and Wrought Flesh take place in it. Though, the game II-III-V takes place in a similar apocalyptic world with scientific elements, but it has not been confirmed whether it is a part of the Mizverse or not.
I find the lore about religion in the Mizverse to be fascinating (religion in a space or futuristic setting interests me), so I wrote a short essay about it during a break in school. Click here if you'd like to read it.

Abstract:
Introduction to the Endoparasitic sequel.
Endoparasitic 2 released on Steam and Itch.io on October 1st. Mizzler had already released two devlogs showing off a few of the elements of the game, including updated game art, a new creature design, and all new weapons. New voice actors, part-time level designers and a new composer would all be brought on to accommodate the growing size of the game and its fresh ambitions. Casual gamers and more intense fans like myself waited for the game to release and for the reviews to come out, and...
Huh. Holy crap.
Listen, I'm not much of a fan of the lack of variety of creatures and new pseudo-3D walls, those are my main gripes. But look at that boss battle! Look at that beautiful new improved art by Angela He! Look at all of the overtime Nessa did! If you'd like to see my initial thoughts (THAT THE WRITER OF THE ENTIRE TWO GAMES HERSELF COMMENTED ON. HOLY SHIT), click here.
The only thing that makes me toss and turn every night in bed in this game is the lack of Lovecraftian happenings on the visual side of things. I only wish we had more knowledge of how the parasite is connected to the Nautilus since that is a big gap in the lore that should be filled if Endoparasitic will not be a trilogy. Do people turn into the Nautilus? Are the Nautilus themselves just amortal? What is the purpose of the parasite at all disregarding the motive of expanding the Nautilus population? Why do they want to do that at all?
But I digress. Now, something that has caused a bit of a fuss is the new revelation that Cynte is canonically queer, and I saw multiple people call this woke in the comments of Gamersault's mandatory lore video. I personally think that it's an interesting way to round out his character, but think nothing else of it (Other than Cynvi potential). Anyway, several new characters were introduced like the cultists, Farashe, Kojo and Karis, who I'll focus on in particular. Karis and Cynte very clearly have some past working together on the asteroid base, and as Cynte said, they were close. However, they had some kind of bad falling out. The implications this has for Cynte's character are massive, but I won't ramble on here.
tldr; Game looks good aside from some nitpicks of mine, and Cynvi is plausible. Support indie developers.
